If you build it, they will come.

Change is in the air as the season transitions from spring to summer. The sun is shining brighter and longer everyday. The energy of Summer Solstice is upon us for a celebration of the season. We are celebrating the sun, renewal of life and good harvest. It's also a great time to set new intentions and be thankful for what you have achieved and accomplished.  Release the old and welcome the new.

The next chapter in my life is about to begin as I turn 40, it's a new decade and new pinnacle cycle for me (a pinnacle cycle is a numerology term representing long-term lessons). Somedays I'm scared of change but also excited to start something new. This summer I am making the move from Missouri to Tennessee permanently. The past few years I’ve danced back and forth with one foot in a family life and the other foot following my entrepreneurial dream. This past year I put all my efforts, time and attention to my Missouri spa and man was it a wild ride, both good and bad. I learned a lot of valuable lessons through experiences of owning a business on my own.

That has lead to the next chapter in my life. Spa life sounds wonderful but I had a hole in my heart and I was filling the void by providing my love and energy to clients and staff. I felt satisfied by helping others feel good, but at the end of the day I wasn't helping myself. Something had to change. I love my spa, clients and staff but I also wanted a family. The universe listened to my prayers and doors opened up. Funny how all you need to do is ask God for help (we often forget to do that). This past May a powerful team was formed with new and existing staff, and Brooke Flint came back after her second son was born.

Brooke was my first employee in 2020, she and I work well together while holding the same vision for the spa. As I slowing transition my life to Tennessee, Brooke will be transitioning her responsibilities of ownership. I'm thrilled to have started something that will carry on and continue to be loved and nurtured. My role was to cast the vision and create, much like the saying "If you build it, they will come." That being said, I know when I leave the spa will loose some of my energy but the staff is an incredible team that works very well together and their combine energy is powerful. Everyone strives to help clients restore balance and harmony of the mind, body and soul. This was my dream and vision, and I'm truly pleased with the results. I will miss my clients dearly, especially those that have been with me from the beginning and helped me navigate through COVID. I built friendships that I will never forget.

I will remain present with the spa's proprietary product line to create artisanal skincare products. The line will remain being made in Missouri by Lacy. She and I will continue to develop the botanical products. This spring we have launched our new dark label skincare set. I am pleased that my efforts this winter developing the line has had a remarkable positive response. The Herbal Exfoliant, Facial Toner, Rejuvenating Facial Oil and Nighttime Balm are an amazing botanical infusion when used all together. I am absolutely pleased with the results. Being a professional esthetician, I also combine my artisanal skincare line with professional products we carry for enhanced results.

As for me, I’m reopening my Knoxville spa as I settle in to my new home and find my next spiritual journey. For now I will work limited hours with a few services because being present with my family is most important. Running rivers, hiking the Smokies, cast iron cooking, gardening, biking, fly fishing and quarry swimming is my current status in Knoxville, TN. My husband and I also have an AirBnB on our property and love to host! If you are looking for an adventure or just somewhere to relax come stay with us. I can also do spa services in the AirBnB! Follow my personal website https://www.jaymehanna.com if you are interested in following my journey as I navigate the next chapter of life. You can find information on my services and events, plus read my blog. This is the beginning of my next adventure.

Thank you everyone for the love and support over the years.
